Julie Brown, CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive), currently holds the role of Director, Major Gifts at The WoodGreen Foundation, one of the largest social service organizations in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
Over her 25-year career in the charitable sector, Julie has worked across a wide range of causes and organizations, mostly for women and children, bringing a versatile and deeply informed perspective to her work. She is a passionate professional with a keen interest in stewardship, which has become the hallmark of her career. Julie has shared her expertise with many leading charities across the sector including Sick Kids, Easter Seals, Bloorview, and the TSO (to name a few), contributing to the broader professional development of the fundraising community.
She has volunteered with CAGP (the Canadian Association of Gift Planners) for many years across numerous committees, and currently serves as a mentor and sits on the Conference Host Committee 2027 for the Greater Toronto Chapter.
In her spare time, Julie enjoys golf, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
