Our January ”Skate-a-thon to Ice Cancer” fundraiser gets a boost with a generous contribution. Thank you Lexus On the Park for supporting this very important fundraiser! We are very grateful!
Toronto East Rotary Club’s January Skate-a-thon raised $15,000 which will benefit the Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) patient support fund and the Toronto East Rotary Club Foundation. The funds contributed to our foundation will be used to support vital community projects.
Over the course of 5 years, our Skate-a-thon has raised over $65,000. During the past 4 years, we have donated $50,000 of these proceeds to the MGH for oncology patient support and they will receive a share of this year’s Skate-a-thon proceeds as well.
Club member Joe Runza originated the Skate-a-thon and was joined this year by his hockey teammate and friend John Bradley and fellow TERC member Pauline Fortier.
Thank you to all our event sponsors and donors who have contributed to this most important community endeavor!
