Blake Boultbee Youth Outreach Service
Rod Cohen has operated and directed the Blake Boultbee Youth Outreach Service (BBYOS) since its opening in 1989. He came to us after five years of working with street youth in Toronto and doing research across Canada on developing services for vulnerable youth.
Rod has educational background in psychology and social work (BA Psych) from York University, with extensive training in Psychotherapy from the Toronto Institute of Human Relations and the Toronto Institute of Relational Psychotherapy (Graduate Diploma).
His commitment has been to create the unique model of BBYOS, making intensive and long-term service accessible to those who otherwise would not receive the specialized help that they need.
Rod is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a Past-President of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists, and a Past-Chair of the Ontario Coalition of Mental Health Practitioners.
Rod also loves to ride mountain bikes on crazy trails, and write, play and record rock and roll music. He has released two records under his artist name, RVC.
