Monica Patten, Chair of Compassionate Ottawa, will describe the way the organization is working toward meeting its vision of a more compassionate community for all.

Compassionate Ottawa is a community movement that works to build the capacity of the people of Ottawa to be more capable and confident in helping themselves their families and their communities to live well, die well and grieve well. Monica Patten, Chair of Compassionate Ottawa, will describe the way the organization is working toward meeting its vision of a more compassionate community for all. 

Monica's Biography

Monica Patten brings many years of experience to her work of encouraging everyone in the community to work together to offer compassion to all. Her professional life in the voluntary and charitable sector, including as former CEO of Community Foundations of Canada, provided her the opportunity to see communities in action right across Canada and around the world. She has often been recognized for her leadership in the not for profit sector, including with aa appointment to the Order of Canada in 2013.
