Clare Olmstead, Vice President, Major Gifts and Planned Giving will update us on the hospital’s redevelopment and about how Toronto East Rotary Club Patient Support Fund is helping patients in need.

Clare's Biography

Inspired by knowing that some of the most profound events of our lives are linked to health, Clare has dedicated her career to aligning donors’ passions with the most pressing healthcare priorities.
Clare joined Michael Garron Hospital in 2019 as the Vice President, Major Gifts and Planned Giving.  In fiscal year 2021, these teams grossed $9.3M. Clare also leads the stewardship and research teams which are fundamental in ensuring an exemplary donor experience.  

Prior to joining Michael Garron Hospital, Clare was a senior fundraiser for two of Toronto’s largest hospital foundations, Sinai Health Foundation and Sunnybrook Foundation.
In addition to her work for hospital foundations Clare has worked for other health care organizations including the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, and the Canadian Cancer Society and Weekend to End Breast Cancer in Calgary. 

Clare has a degree in Economics with a specialization in Management Studies and an option in Environmental Economics from the University of Waterloo.
